This agreement is established to delineate the terms under which Check Engine Pro will render automotive electrical diagnostic services to the client. By scheduling an appointment, the client agrees to the following stipulations:
1. Nature of Diagnostic Services: The service encompasses an exhaustive electrical diagnostic evaluation utilizing a specialized scanner to uncover potential issues within the vehicle's electrical system. It is essential to clarify that the act of connecting the diagnostic scanner and producing a report does not equate to conducting repairs. The diagnostic and repair services operate independently of each other.
2. Service Duration: The diagnostic service is scheduled to be conducted over a one-hour time frame.
3. Travel and Location Guidelines: Services include travel to the client's specified location, provided it is within a 10-mile radius from Westminster. A supplementary fee of $25 will be assessed for distances exceeding the 10-mile limit.
Fee Details:
- Hourly Diagnostic Rate: The charge is $150 per hour for diagnostic services rendered.
- Additional Travel Charge: An added fee of $25 applies for locations beyond the initial 10-mile radius.
- The full hourly rate applies irrespective of whether the diagnostic process concludes in less than the designated hour.
Terms and Conditions:
1. Diagnostic Report Outcome: Upon completion, the client will receive a comprehensive diagnostic report generated by the scanner. While this report may pinpoint the precise issue, it is possible that further diagnostic investigation may be necessary. If so, the client will be informed, and additional diagnostic time may be required, which could result in further charges.
2. Approval for Additional Services: Additional diagnostic or repair work will only proceed after explicit consent from the client. The client acknowledges that by authorizing such additional work, they may incur extra costs, including those for labor and replacement parts.
3. Resolution of Electrical Issues: If diagnostics reveal an electrical problem involving wiring or electrical components, a detailed estimate will be provided for the client’s approval before any repair work is initiated.
4. Referral for Mechanical Problems: Should the issue be identified as a mechanical problem or require the specialized equipment of a mechanic shop, the client will be referred to an appropriate facility. In such cases, the client’s financial obligation is limited to the diagnostic fees charged by Check Engine Pro.
5. Recognition of Potential Multiple Issues: Clients are advised that vehicles may present multiple issues. By consenting to a specific repair, the client understands that addressing the identified problem does not ensure the resolution of all potential vehicle issues. Other components may require further examination and attention.
6. Payment and Security Measures: Payment for diagnostic services is expected upon completion. In instances of non-payment, the client’s vehicle may be subject to towing, and/or a mechanic’s lien may be placed on the vehicle, as allowed by Colorado law.
7. Liability Release Clause: By signing this agreement, the client agrees to hold Check Engine Pro harmless from any claims, damages, or losses resulting from or related to the services provided under this agreement.
8. Provision of Diagnostic Report: The client will receive the diagnostic report regardless of whether the scanner successfully identifies the issue.
9. Acceptance of Agreement Terms: By accepting the service, the client confirms their understanding and acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement and agrees to pay the specified fees.
